It is with great pleasure that we are going to present to the readers this Special Issue of Gland Surgery devoted to hot topics in Current controversies in Endocrine Surgery, to be published in February Issue of 2015. The contributors’ list is impressive: all of them are highly accredited worldwide as first line researchers in their field. We are sure that Gland Surgery readers will learn much about advancements in patient management, at least this was our aim when choosing the authors and the subjects. The topics reviewed for this special issue rank high among the most controversial and burning ones than can be found currently in the specialty of Endocrine Surgery.
